2. String Literal or Constant : 1. A string literal in python is a collection of one or more characters enclosed in ' ' --> Single Quotes " " --> Double Quotes ''' ''' --> Triple Single Quotes """ """ --> Triple Double Quotes ' ' --> Single Quotes : 1. We can have a string represented in a Single line without apostrophe 'P' 'python' 'Python's library is big' 'Python's library is big' ^ SyntaxError: invalid syntax " " --> Double Quotes : 1. We can have a string represented in a Single line with apostrophe, but not " "Python's library is big" #"Python's library is big" "Python's library is big" #SyntaxError: EOL while scanning string literal "Python's library is "big" and even more advantageous" "Python's library is "big" and even more advantageous" ^ SyntaxError: invalid syntax ''' ''' --> Triple Single Quotes : 1. We can have a string represented in multiple lines 2. Mostly used in documentation in the Python program '''Python's library is "big" and even more advantageous''' #'Python\'s library is "big" and even more advantageous' '''Python's library is "big" and even more advantageous''' 'Python\'s \n library is \n "big" and \n even more \n advantageous' """ """ --> Triple Double Quotes : 1. We can have a string represented in multiple lines similar to Triple Single Quotes """Python's library is "big" and even more advantageous""" #'Python\'s library is "big" and even more advantageous' """Python's library is "big" and even more advantageous""" 3. Boolean Literal or Constant : True and False True False print(True) print(False) 4. None Literal :1. A None in python is nithing None print(None) Variables in Python : 1. The components of the program that hold the data 2. They are the memory locations inside the RAM, that contain name, value address and even id 3. Initialilizing a variable = operator will assign the values int the variable 4. A variable value can be changed through out program var1 = 101 --> name: var1 value=101 = --> assignment operator var2 = 56.23 var3 = 9-6j var4 = "Venu" var5 = True var6 = None var1=256 --> var1 is changed from 101 to 256 5. The name of the variables are said to be identifiers. An identifier is a piece of code that identify a component of the program uniquely 6. In order to declare the identifiers we need to maintain some coding standards 1. The identifiers should not start with a digit but a digit can be in any place other than first var1 is fine but 1var is not allowed 2. The identifiers should not contain any spaces myvar=56 is fine but my var=56 3. Only _(underscore) is allowed as a special character my_var is fine but not my#var 4. It is not recommended to use the already developed component names such as keywords, functions etc for the identifiers since there is a danger of overriding the components functionality
